Luxury vinyl: high-end flooring with affordable style

At Value Discount Flooring we know that a home is just more than walls and a roof, and our family has been serving the Chicagoland area for over 50 years. We also know that flooring is the biggest expression of personal style and might well also be the biggest investment you’ll make in your home.

That said, our philosophy is simple: Buy the best you can afford. If you want hardwood or stone, but it’s out of your budget, go with the best alternative: luxury vinyl.

It mimics the look of wood, tile or stone. Our manufacturers use high definition photography, so expect to see raised grains, knots, veinings and color variations. Texturing features will give it a wire-brushed, hand-scraped or distressed look. It can even be cut into planks or tile-sized pieces. Seams give it even more realism.

Come into our showroom to learn more about luxury vinyl and how the flooring can give you both beauty and function. Our Northern Illinois showroom services southern Wisconsin, Richmond, Antioch, Twin Lakes Wisconsin, McHenry IL, and Burlington WI, and surrounding areas.

One of the biggest customer concerns

That would be water. People need the luxury of peace of mind, and you get that with this floor. The vinyl is waterproof, and if you want even more protection and completely worry-free installation, ask the experts at our showroom to tell you more.

The stylish bathroom

The bath is often referred to as “the wettest room in the house.” Wood can be damaged by water, so it’s never recommended for installation there.

You can still have that look, with this vinyl as your flooring because it’s waterproof.

Other benefits

  • Price. It’s less expensive than wood or tile, just don’t fall for those ultra-cheap prices, please. Quality will suffer somewhere, whether in the photography or thickness.
  • Durability. It has a thick clear plastic wear layer that protects by resisting scratches, scuffs, and fading.
  • Easy to clean: Sweep and mop.
  • Comfort. While all vinyl is soft and pliable, the luxury version of this flooring includes extra cushioning in the form of an underlayment.
